Eyesopen vanlife workshop was started in the difficult year of 2020 when Daryl, a furniture maker from Salisbury, had to diversify his business from making bespoke handmade furniture and kitchens into something he was more passionate about…bespoke van conversions.
Daryl produced some exquisite and unique looking vans that started to stand out from the crowd. In doing these builds Daryl noticed there was a gap in the UK market for high end quality window covers that offered magnetic, thermal and blackout qualities and also have the option of being customisable to suit the buyer’s specific interior design style and colour schemes.
Daryl teamed up with top furniture upholsterer, Kevin Thomas from Warminster and they got to work on templating the vans that Daryl was converting and decided not to stop there, so continued producing products for the most popular vans on the market that would potentially benefit from these thermal and blackout window covers.
Now trading as Eyesopen VanGear, Daryl and Kevin continue to supply window covers for various vans, campervans and motorhomes nationwide.
